Climate RFIs 2022 Tracker

The Inflation Reduction Act was passed on August 16, 2022 and will provide as much as $800 billion in tax credits, subsidies, and other forms of investment in energy security and climate change programs over the next ten years.

When a bill is passed, each government agency that is set to receive funds needs to build out specific spending programs, including designing the rules and policies they will follow. The Request for Information (RFI) process is the government’s way of getting feedback on these proposals from all relevant stakeholders and industry experts.

There are many RFIs that stem from the IRA (as well as other recent climate and infrastructure-related legislation). Below are the ones we have found so far, and more are expected in the coming weeks and months.

Actual has compiled this list of RFIs in order to provide a resource for the broader climate and sustainability community. This list aims to be a living source of truth for the community that streamlines the process of searching for RFIs and understanding government spending processes.
